Why So Many Separated Parents Struggle to Co-Parent
On paper, co-parenting sounds simple: two adults who love their children…
Individual, couples & family support
You do not have to answer that alone. Together or Apart offers clear, compassionate and expert guidance for people facing separation, divorce, or child arrangements – and for couples who want to rebuild.
about us
Our team provides professional coaching, mediation and guidance for individuals, couples and families at crossroads. We combine practical expertise with genuine emotional support, so you can find the solution that is right for you, your family and future.
These are some of the hardest conversations you will ever have. Our work is built around making them safe, honest and free of judgement.

One-to-one and couples sessions to find clarity and take back control of your next steps.

A structured, impartial route to agreements on money, property and children - without court.

Support for the sleep, stress and health that relationship strain quietly erodes.
Our Services

Guidance through the practical and emotional realities of separating, so decisions are made with a clear head.

Structured sessions to help you understand what has changed, communicate honestly and decide whether to rebuild or move on.

Helping families keep children out of the middle with workable routines and shared expectations after separation.

A calm, impartial process for reaching agreements on finances, property and child arrangements without going to court.

In the event you require court support, we offer expertise, support and advice to help you navigate the complexities of the family court system with confidence.

Relationship stress shows up in sleep, health and work. We look at the whole picture, not just the relationship.
Our Process
Most people who contact us have been circling the same question for a long time, often in isolation. Friends take sides, family has an opinion, and solicitors start from the assumption that it is over.
We start earlier than that. A safe non-judgemental space to explore the options – and, when separation is the answer, a route through it that protects your finances, your wellbeing and your children.
In-person sessions at a private location, providing a discreet and comfortable space for your consultation.
Our virtual appointments allow you to receive compassionate guidance from the comfort and privacy of your own home.
Individual and/or joint sessions, allowing each person the space to explore their feelings before coming together to work through issues collaboratively.
We provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space designed to help you navigate conflict in a way that feels respectful and empowering.

Testimonial
Find peace of mind by hearing directly from the individuals and couples we’ve helped find a compassionate way forward.
The outstanding service I received from Together or Apart was simply unbelievable. It has restored my faith in human beings. The team went above and beyond to meet my needs and exceeded my expectations.
Society has conditioned us to see the ending of a marriage as a failure. I saw it as a necessary step to finding a healthier and more fulfilling future which together or apart helped me work through, at my pace, in a more amenable way with my ex.
It’s a scary thing trying to get help, but TOA took a lot of that anxiety and fear out of the equation. I was able to get personalised support which best fit my needs.
Together or apart helped me methodically work through the reason why I felt disconnected from my husband, particularly in mid-life. Together, we were able to find a more conducive and appreciative way of expressing our frustrations, reconnecting and understanding each other in a better and harmonious way.
I was unsure whether my marriage was over or not and I was struggling to focus on work and the impact it was having on my health. TOA helped me unpick how I was truly feeling and I was able to really evaluate myself and my relationship in a more insightful and kinder way. With TOA’s help I was able to regain focus on what really mattered to me.
Together or Apart provided a calm, supportive space during a confusing time. Their guidance helped me find the clarity I needed to make the right decision for my family. The process felt calm, not like a legal battle.

FAQs
We work with individual clients as well as couples who have reached a point in their relationship where they are unsure whether they want to stay together, separate or divorce. We are trained family mediators and have extensive experience in public and private childfamily law and court processes. We have knowledge of the separation and divorce process and final orders in respect of financial matters.
We start with a free 20 minute Discovery Call to explore your situation and find out what you want moving forward. It is not uncommon for us to receive enquiries from individuals and couples who simply have no idea why their relationship is breaking down or what to do about it. Often many couples have stopped communicating and do not understand why one party has shut down and refuses to talk. Sometimes there are external factors such as work, health or financial stresses that impact on a relationship.
Our packages allow us to gain an opportunity to understand both parties views and then potentially bring couples together (virtually or in-person depending on location and requirements), to talk openly and honestly about what is happening and whether the relationship is over.
From there, decisions can be made about whether to stay together with support to reconnect or whether to separate or divorce avoiding the emotional and financial turmoil that comes with ending a relationship.
Our approach is simple, honest, solution-focused and practical - we do not proclaim to have all the answers to your dilemmas and we do not promise to solve all the concerns you may have. What we will provide is an equilibrium of skill, knowledge, support and guidance that will optimise, empower and enable you to discover with clarity, how best to achieve the right outcome for you.
We offer a range of cost effective and efficient solutions, helping you to find clarity and achieve your objectives within a streamlined and affordable approach. We pride ourselves on our success and recommendations. Clients are the centre of our work and affordability is something we have carefully thought about so that everyone can access our services and support.
